Films take us out of reality just like books... but when a director/ screen writer decides to make a 2 hour film of an amazing piece of literature and instead creates something that makes your teeth grind throughout the film... well it just pisses you off! Im sick of the mainstream bullcrap that society (america?) with everything else has become too lazy to even notice the difference between aesthetic filmmaking and shit. To many people as long as its got the sterotypical storyline and lots of CGI who needs to think bout the meaning behind camera angles/shots/editting and the interesting display of mise en scene? Well i say unless a new - fresh - generation of filmmakers comes along and inspire these people in some philosophical way to bring back life and love into their mundane, morbid world then well they will go on living in such a common depressing world and wont get the full enjoyment of analysing and understanding a beautiful film that certain directors in this world are already making.
One thing i pissed off bout is my favourite film, pretty much changed my whole perception on New American Directors and Bob Dylan was the Im Not There, but you see it appeared FAR too complicated with the likes alot of people so im unable to get it on DVD ... Another example GrindHouse Planet Terror and Death Proof didnt appear on at the cinema at same time because it wasnt successful in America so instead i had to wait even longer to get it on DVD because the viewings for the films were only on at 10 :|
One day hopefully i will have an important place in film industry and i will put film back on the map of a worth while past time. People need to see the amazing affect a good film can have on their life!
